Two days in Hawke's Bay with Wine Trails and honestly best decision of the trip. The Gimblett Gravels history blew our minds. Didn't know any of that.
I'm a proper wine nerd and the narration didn't disappoint. Detailed but not boring. GPS between wineries was smooth. Impressed.
Loved the flexibility. We lingered at some places and rushed through others. Only thing missing was food pairing recs along the route.
Downloaded it and didn't need reception all day β perfect for the back roads around Bridge Pa. Felt like having a mate who knows everything about wine in the car.
Great intro to Hawke's Bay wines. We're from Oz and this was way more informative than the guided tours we'd done in the Barossa.
Local here β still learned new things. The history section on the old riverbed is fascinating.
