In Barossa Valley: Yalumba is proud of its grounds, and the Estate Picnic is the way to spend two hours in them. It starts with a private tasting: choose the Grenache-focused flight or the Samuel's Collection whites and reds. From the flight you pick a bottle to take to lunch, valued up to A$40. Then a precinct map and a word from the staff on the best spots, a rug, and the picnic pack: two local cheeses with crackers, Angaston Smokehouse cured meats, local fresh and dried fruit, locally baked sourdough and condiments, with a pair of Riedel glasses to drink from. Lawn games are there if you want them. Two hours at 40 Eden Valley Road, Angaston; priced for two, with extra adults and children added at booking, up to six.
