About This Experience
In Central Otago: Four times, Grant Taylor has won the trophy for Best Pinot Noir at one of the world's largest wine competitions in London — a feat no other winemaker in the world has matched. Valli is his life's work, and this experience immerses you in it. An Otago native, Grant spent 18 years in Napa, California — helping establish two world-renowned wineries — before returning to become the first winemaker at Gibbston Valley Winery. He founded Valli in 1998 with a then-radical aim: to capture Otago's subregions of Bendigo, Waitaki, Bannockburn and Gibbston as true, individual expressions. He now drives that project alongside his talented Head Winemaker, Jen Parr. Valli's Gibbston vineyard sits next door to Kinross, growing some of the best Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris the subregion has ever seen. A minimum of two people is required to book; individuals can secure a booking by purchasing two spaces.
