About This Experience
In Hunter Valley: This is Two Fat Blokes' stay-and-tour package for couples visiting midweek. It bundles two nights in a Studio Spa room at Leisure Inn Pokolbin (Sunday to Thursday nights) with breakfast for two and a seat on the Hunter Gatherers full-day wine tour, which runs Monday to Friday. The tour visits four or five of the valley's wineries, small, boutique and large, for private VIP tastings, with a cheese-and-wine matching, a chocolate-and-wine matching, a brewery visit and a generous antipasto lunch among the vines. Pick-up and drop-off are from the hotel. Along the way the guide points out what the Hunter grows beyond grapes: olives and oils, cheeses, berries, herbs and chocolate, all made in the valley. Kangaroos and local wildlife are a regular sight.
