About This Experience

In Hunter Valley: The Tulloch story began in 1895, when J.Y. Tulloch accepted a 43-acre Pokolbin property — five acres of neglected Shiraz included — as settlement for a debt. Four generations later, this experience pairs the family's signature tasting with lunch at neighbouring Hunters Quarter, the chef-hatted restaurant ranked #1 in Pokolbin on TripAdvisor. The Hunter Heroes tasting is a private, seated flight of six Tulloch wines representing the Hunter's best-known varieties — Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Verdelho — including one museum-cellar wine poured alongside current releases, plus a local cheese and charcuterie board. At HQ, chef Brian Duncan — formerly of the Dorchester and Claridges in London — serves a two-course a la carte lunch (entree and main, or main and dessert) from a seasonal menu of local produce, with a private terrace in the vineyards. Book the 11am slot to taste first, or 12.30pm to lunch first; the venues are two minutes' drive or a ten-minute walk apart. Tulloch is proudly family friendly: Junior (3-10) and Teens Kombucha (11-17) experiences run alongside the adult tasting, and the cellar door has level access and mobility parking. • Private seated Hunter Heroes tasting: five current releases plus one museum wine • Local cheese and charcuterie board, tasting mat and take-home guide • Two-course a la carte lunch at chef-hatted Hunters Quarter • Choose tasting-first (11am) or lunch-first (12.30pm)
