Waiheke Wine Tours Limited: The Quintessential Wine Tour with Award-Winning Restaurant Lunch
About This Experience
In Waiheke Island: Five hours, three of Waiheke's defining vineyards, and a one-Hat lunch on Onetangi Beach — this is the island's wine story told properly. Your guide meets you with a signboard at Matiatia Wharf, a 40-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, and from there the day unfolds at an easy pace. Your day: • Cable Bay Vineyards — start at the cellar door with award-winning wines drawn from Waiheke and Marlborough fruit, poured against one of the island's best harbour views. • Lunch at 372 — the beachfront Onetangi restaurant awarded one Hat at the Cuisine Good Food Awards. A relaxed, mouth-watering lunch with a glass of wine, included. • Postage Stamp — the island's newest boutique winery, rustic and small-batch, for a tasting you won't find on the big-bus itineraries. • Stonyridge Vineyard — finish in a shimmering valley of olive trees and vines, home to one of New Zealand's most celebrated Bordeaux-style reds, with aromas straight out of the south of France. You're returned to Matiatia Wharf by about 3:45pm for the sailing home. Gold Qualmark-awarded operator; small groups; ferry tickets not included.
