In Central Otago: The Arrow River Bridges Trail leaves the heart of Arrowtown's historic precinct and runs 23 gently undulating kilometres into Gibbston wine country — a Grade 2 (easy) ride that crosses the Edgar Suspension Bridge before joining the Gibbston River Trail at the Kawarau Bungy Bridge. Count the daredevils as you cross. A 10am shuttle carries you from Queenstown to Arrowtown, where the Kiwi Journeys team fits your premium eBike and runs through the trail briefing. Explore the old gold-mining township first — ruins, galleries, the Lakes District Museum — then ride east above the Kawarau River, calling in at whichever Gibbston cellar doors take your fancy; every winery on the route is marked on your trail map. Towards the end of the afternoon, roll in to Mt Rosa Wines, where the Kiwi Journeys depot is located — there might even be time for a cooling refreshment before the 5pm shuttle returns you to Queenstown by 5.45pm.
