About This Experience

Kies Family Wines started life in an old Chaff Mill Cottage, and it sets the tone for the day: family-run cellar doors and unhurried tastings. Pickup from your Adelaide accommodation is around 9am (8.30am Glenelg) before heading out to the Barossa Valley. At Pindarie — an Aboriginal word meaning “hilly place” — you taste the full range of award-winning wines in a restored grain store on the Barossa’s western edge, then settle in for a generous regional produce platter lunch overlooking the vineyards the wines are sourced from. The afternoon swaps grape for grain: a leisurely stroll through the historic township of Tanunda, a structured gin tasting paddle at Seppeltsfield Gin Distillers, then a brewery tour and beers with the brewer at Greenock Brewery before a 5–5.30pm drop-off back at your Adelaide accommodation. • ~9am pickup from Adelaide accommodation (8.30am Glenelg) • Guided tasting at Kies Family Wines • Guided tasting and regional produce platter lunch at Pindarie Wines • Free time in historic Tanunda • Gin tasting paddle at Seppeltsfield Gin Distillers • Brewery tour and beer tasting at Greenock Brewery • 5–5.30pm drop-off in Adelaide
