In Central Otago: Queenstown's hop-on hop-off loop links wineries, breweries, eateries, a bungee and a historical gold mine on one simple bus timetable — and the operator never rushes you. Hop off at any stop, stay as long as you like, and catch a later bus. Full-day tours depart at 10.30am and 11.20am and run six to seven hours; the afternoon tour leaves at 12.10pm for four to five hours. Choose your pickup stop when you book. This is a self-guided tour: tastings and lunch are at your own expense, and some venues need advance bookings — pre-book lunch and key tastings, especially for larger groups. Groups of eight or more should call ahead so the buses can be planned around you.
