About This Experience

Cape Willoughby Conservation Park is home to South Australia’s first lighthouse, and it’s the heart of this private charter. The drive out crosses Kangaroo Island’s rich countryside, bushland and beaches framing stories of the area’s maritime history and the tough conditions early settlers endured. At the Cape, soak up the coastal views, learn about its role in coastal shipping, colonial trading and early passenger transport — and keep watch for the resident kangaroo mobs, often seen lazing, feeding or gathering in numbers. Your driver doubles as your guide and keeps an eagle eye out, though sightings of wild animals can’t be guaranteed (it’s rare to miss them). A scenic drive through Antechamber Bay and the Chapman River shows off the island’s varied landscapes before you sit back with a sample of wines from local regional wineries — Kangaroo Island and the Fleurieu Peninsula are known for award-winning producers. ● Tour lasts for approx. 3 hours ● You need to arrive 30-minutes prior to departure time ● Your driver will also function as a tour guide, providing information on sights seen and local knowledge. ●. Private tour pricing is provided at a fixed price per coach. Full private coach price when divided by all passengers are significantly lower per person then regular tour ticket prices. Maximum discount will equate to $79.17 per person for a FULL 24-seater private coach and $59.40 per person on a FULL 57-seater private coach. ● PLEASE NOTE – We cannot guarantee Kangaroo sightings as these are wild animals. It is rare for no sightings to occur. ● Photo opportunities will be offered at various locations ● Pickup and Drop off are at Penneshaw Wharf, Kangaroo Island ● Air-conditioned motorcoach provided ● Order of sights visited may vary on the day ● Tour includes entry only to the Park Grounds and does NOT include a tour of the Lighthouse itself.
