About This Experience

In Geographe: Cathy is both winemaker and gardener at Whicher Ridge, and Pick + Sip is her way of demystifying the whole wine tasting experience: an in-depth adventure through the wine sensory garden, where plantings of fruit trees, herbs, flowers and seasonal vegetables describe the flavours in a wine and how to match its textures and styles with food. The tour winds through the garden's varietal wine sections with ample time to take in the sights, smells and tastes of each before moving on. Along the way you'll taste and learn about four of the small batch wines Cathy and Neil make here — different grape varieties, where wine flavours come from, different winemaking styles, and heaps of ideas for pairing wine with food.
