THE ADRENALINE TRAIL Queenstown Trail | 1 Day - Self-guided 34-37km (Grade 2-3, Easy-Intermediate) >> Shuttle to Arthurs Point | Arthurs Point-Gibbston | Shuttle to Queenstown In Queenstown jump on board the Kiwi Journeys shuttle to Arthurs Point, where so many of the trails that explore Queenstown start from. There, our crew will tell you all about the trail options and conduct a bike fitting before you embark on the first adventure of the day - a Shotover Jet ride. This self-guided eBike tour includes Premium eBike rental, the Shotover Jet ride, Kawarau Zipride, guided wine tasting experience at Mt Rosa Wines and shuttles for access at either end to connect with the trails. From Queenstown, join a shuttle to Arthurs Point to unlock the first adrenaline rush of the day - whizzing along the Shotover River on a thrilling jet boat ride! The main decision to make after the Shotover Jet experience is about what trail to t explore. From the new Shotover Gorge Trail with a 108m long tunnel delving into the gorge, you'll witness stunning scenery as it winds along the Shotover River. Then, either connect to the Countryside Trail if journeying via Arrowtown is on the menu. Or, from the Shotover Gorge Trail, navigate across the Queenstown basin on the Twin Rivers Trail which travels alongside the Shotover then Kawarau Rivers. Both the Countryside and Twin River Trails connect to the Gibbston River Trail at the Kawarau Bungy Bridge - where it’s time to test your nerves on the brand new Kawarau Zipride! Choose to upgrade to the Kawarau Bungy for the die-hard adrenaline junkies! Along the Gibbston River Trail thirsts can be quenched at the many cellar doors of Gibbston wine country before finishing the day at Mt Rosa Wines, where the Kiwi Journeys depot is located. This all inclusive option makes it easy to explore - all biking equipment and associated shuttles are included. Just turn up and enjoy the ride! Before The Ride In Arthurs Point, our friendly team will ensure you're ready for the day ahead. You'll receive a comprehensive trail briefing, professional bike fitting, detailed trail map, and a pannier & handlebar bag for your ride. All that's left for you to do is enjoy one of New Zealand's most spectacular cycling adventures After the Shotover Jet ride, the cycling begins from Arthurs Point, where there is a choice of trails to navigate across the Queenstown Trails network, ultimately heading towards Gibbston: • Check-in: 8.15am for an 8.30am departure from the loading zone in front of Alta Queenstown, 8 Duke St (this location is opposite the rear of the Kiwi Journeys CBD storefront at Browns Ski Shop, 39 Shotover St) • Return: Shuttle departs Kiwi Journeys Gibbston at 5pm, for a 5.45pm return to Queenstown (routing via Arthurs Point) NB: A reasonable level of fitness, and confident riding ability are both required for some trails; the Countryside & Twin Rivers Trails are Grade 3 Intermediate; the Hugo Tunnel and steep switchback section of the Shotover Gorge Trail is Grade 4 Advanced This package includes: • Premium eBike hire from a Qualmark Gold endorsed operator • Additional equipment: MIPs helmet, mini-repair kit, pannier & handlebar bags • Comprehensive trail briefing and professional bike fitting • Shotover Jet experience • Kawarau Zipride experience (Kawarau Swing & Bungy upgrades available) • Guided wine tasting at Mt Rosa Wines in the afternoon • Shuttles – Queenstown to Arthurs Point (morning) & from Gibbston to Queenstown (afternoon) • Access to the Queenstown Trails from Arthurs Point • Trail map Accidental damage insurance: Accidents do happen, we highly recommend you take accidental damage insurance. Cancellation Policy Single Day Tours and Bike Hire a. If cancelled on the day of your booking or after midday the day before, no refunds will be given. b. If cancelled by midday (12pm) up to the day before your booking then a $50 per booking handling fee applies. NB: If possible, Kiwi Journeys will work with you to re-schedule your trip. A $50 per booking rescheduling fee will apply. All clients will be required to sign our waiver prior to departure.
