In Stellenbosch: A private half day in South Africa's largest wine region, timed around you: you pick the pickup time at your Cape Town hotel. Your guide drives you out to Stellenbosch and fits in as many estates as the five and a half hours allow, with a drive through the town itself. The route uses the panoramic roads over the passes and through the valleys, with time to stop for photos. Non-drinkers can swap tastings for extra sightseeing. Only your party travels in the vehicle: two to seven guests in a sedan or air-conditioned minivan. Estates close around 5pm, with last tastings starting about 4:15pm.
