In Burgundy — Côte d'Or & Côte Chalonnaise: A long day built for a group that wants Burgundy's wine and its medieval towns together. Your English-speaking driver collects you at 6:30 and breaks the journey at Vézelay, for the UNESCO World Heritage Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, or at Auxerre and its cathedral. Midday is Château de Meursault. A private English-speaking guide walks you through the 8-hectare vineyard, maintained with agroecological practices inside the château park, explains the terroir, then takes you down into the cellars, which date from the 12th to the 18th centuries, for a tasting of the estate's wines. The day is private to your group of four to fifteen and runs about thirteen hours door to door. Lunch, château entry and any additional tastings are confirmed at booking.
