Ambler Touring: Barossa Valley / Maggie Beer Farm Food & Wine Tour
About This Experience
The day opens at the Whispering Wall, the acoustic wonder near Williamstown, before rolling into one of the world’s best-known wine regions — the Barossa Valley, steeped in history and German heritage, its landscapes rolling with vines, orchards and pastures. The Penfolds Barossa Cellar Door comes first for tastings or light refreshments, then Rusden Winery — famous for its ‘Black Guts’ Shiraz — with time-permitting stops at Gully Gardens or the Barossa Cheese Company before lunch in Angaston. After the Mengler Hill lookout over the valley floor, the afternoon belongs to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop and the Seppeltsfield Estate, home to Vasse Virgin’s olive oil skincare and the Jam Factory gallery with its resident artists’ studios. • Pickup from accommodation — 8.30am • Whispering Wall • Penfolds Barossa Cellar Door — 10.30am • Rusden Winery — 11.30am • Gully Gardens Farm Shop • Lunch option — Wanera Wine Bar — 1.00pm • Mengler Hill lookout • Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop — 2.30pm • Seppeltsfield Estate, Jam Factory and Vasse Virgin — 3.00pm • Return to accommodation — 5.00pm Tasting fees, entry fees and lunch are at your own cost; bottled water provided.
