About This Experience

The bus departs Queenstown's Station Information Centre at 9.45am and loops more than 20 stops across Bannockburn, Cromwell and the Gibbston Valley. Hop off wherever you like, stay as long as you want, and catch a later bus — the drivers brief you on each stop, and a free map and timetable keep the day simple. The route reads like a Central Otago honour roll: Misha's Vineyard above Lake Dunstan, Mt Difficulty and its old Bannockburn vine sites, organic Carrick, Rothschild-owned Akarua, Wooing Tree, and Wild Earth's barrel cuisine at the Stoaker Room. Non-wine stops include the Goldfields Mining Centre, Highlands Motorsport Museum and Cromwell's 1860s Heritage Precinct. Your wristband unlocks Hop on Hop off specials at selected venues. Tastings and lunch are at your own expense — book lunch ahead, and tastings too for weekends or larger groups.
