In Barossa Valley: Pick-up from selected Adelaide hotels runs between 8.30 and 9.00am, and the first stop is Mount Lofty Lookout, where the CBD spreads out below and Kangaroo Island appears on clear days. The road past the majestic Mount Lofty House and over the Piccadilly Valley sets the tone. From there the route runs through Stirling, Bridgewater and Hahndorf, with a stop at the family-owned Beerenberg farm shop - a barista coffee or drink there is included - before free time to explore the historic German village and its shops and galleries. Lunch is seated and multi-course at Jacob's Creek, prepared by the award-winning Harvest Kitchen, with an optional $10 per person wine tasting afterwards. The afternoon meanders on to historic Seppeltsfield, past the boulevard of century-old date palms and the Seppelt family mausoleum, for an informative tour of the property and a tasting of its wines.
