House of Arras: 40 Years of Tirage - Late Disgorged Masterclass — Tamar Valley
About This Experience
In Tamar Valley: EJ Carr Late Disgorged spends well over a decade on yeast lees before release. This private masterclass pours three museum vintages of it, each aged at least 13 years on tirage — a collective 40 years in bottle that gives the experience its name. You're welcomed at the cellar door with a glass of the current release sparkling and the House of Arras story, then stroll the vineyard wine-in-hand past the property's oldest Chardonnay vines, learning how Tasmania's sheep-grazing farms became one of the country's finest wine regions, before a sneak peek inside the winery itself. The vertical happens at a special outdoor tasting area with sweeping views: 100mL pours of three Museum Cellar EJ Carr Late Disgorged editions, opened exclusively for this experience and not normally available for tasting, with a dedicated host from start to finish. A picnic hamper of artisanal Tasmanian produce from Fork It Farm and a local cheese provider rounds out the day. For the ultimate indulgence, request hosting by Ed Carr — Australia's most awarded sparkling winemaker — or private helicopter transfers. • Welcome glass of current-release Arras sparkling • Guided vineyard stroll past the estate's oldest Chardonnay vines, plus a winery visit • Vertical tasting: three museum-release EJ Carr Late Disgorged vintages (100mL pours) • Tasmanian picnic hamper with Fork It Farm produce and local cheese
