Vinetrekker: Yarra Valley Wildlife & Wine Day Tour — Yarra Valley
About This Experience
In Yarra Valley: This Vinetrekker day starts around 8:30 with pick-up and goes straight to Healesville Sanctuary, 30 hectares of bushland with more than 200 Australian species: koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, dingoes, birds of prey and platypus, seen up close. From there the day turns to wine. At Yering Station, Victoria's first vineyard, you taste in the original red-brick 1859 winery, surrounded by local art and produce, then walk through the gardens to lunch in a contemporary restaurant with views across the valley. The last stop is De Bortoli at Dixons Creek, where flavoured cheeses are matched to sparkling, table and dessert wines, including Noble One. The drive home can run through Steels Creek. Pick-up and drop-off are included; the group is capped at twelve.
