Unique History of Barossa Winemaking and Essen Lunch
About This Experience
In Barossa Valley: Artisans of Barossa is a collaboration of eight small winemakers, brought together by a shared commitment to protect and promote small-batch Barossa winemaking, with over 100 wines available β and the helicopter lands within 20 metres of its entrance. The flight out of the Hoffnungsthal Valley tracks the western ridge past historic Seppeltsfield's vineyards and palm-studded roads, catching Maggie Beer's farm and the famous Penfolds winery on the way down into Tanunda's northern side. The 'Rarities' experience follows: six wines from the full tasting selection, showcasing the influence of regions and winemakers across the Barossa. Then lunch at Artisans' restaurant, Essen, with two glasses of wine. The tour isn't over at dessert β the return leg passes Jacob's Creek Winery, home to some of Australia's largest wine tanks, then Lyndoch, the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall, which holds back the Barossa Reservoir. β’ Approx. 25 minutes in the helicopter β’ Rarities tasting β six wines β’ Lunch at Essen Restaurant β’ Two glasses of wine with lunch Transfers to the helipad, extra wine and take-home wine aren't included (wine can be shipped direct). Pick-up is available from selected Barossa accommodation. Weight restrictions apply β 130kg maximum, weighed on the day. Friday to Sunday, 11am; approx. 4 hours for 2 guests.
