Tulloch Wines - Hunter Heroes Wine Tasting Experience with Local Cheese and Charcuterie
About This Experience
The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest producing wine region, its first vines planted in the 1820s. The Tulloch story started in 1895, when J.Y. Tulloch accepted a 43-acre Pokolbin property with five acres of neglected Shiraz as settlement for a debt — his first foray into winemaking. This private seated tasting works through six Tulloch wines chosen to represent the 'Hunter Heroes' — the region's best-known varieties: Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Verdelho. One comes from the museum cellar, letting you taste an aged Hunter wine alongside current releases. A local cheese and charcuterie board (for 2-3 people), individual tasting mat and take-home guide round out the hour. Tulloch is proudly family friendly and inclusive: Junior experiences (3-12) with kid-friendly drinks and snacks, a Teens Kombucha tasting (13-17) for teens and non-drinkers, level cellar-door access and mobility parking. All visits require a booking. • Private seated tasting introduced by a Wine Ambassador • Five current release Tulloch wines plus one museum-aged wine • Local cheese and charcuterie board for 2-3 people • Tasting mat and take-home wine experience guide
