About This Experience
In Coal River Valley: The Sunday edition of Tasmanian Travel & Experiences' Hobart wine afternoon hands the schedule to an internationally recognised sommelier. From Hobart (pick-up included; the tour is based at 12 Franklin Wharf) it visits Glaetzer-Dixon Family Winemakers, Derwent Estate's vineyard and cellar door, and Pooley Family Wines in the Coal River Valley, each chosen by the guide. Between the wineries there is cheese, a local gin masterclass at Institut Polaire's gin bar, cocktails from the Cool Climate Corkscrew slingers, and a blind wine tasting for anyone who fancies their palate. Five hours, up to ten guests.
