Fortified winemaking is steeped in tradition at Stanton & Killeen, and this half-day workshop in Rutherglen hands you the craft. A winery tour and extensive fortified wine tasting set the scene before you learn the art of blending — balancing flavours under expert guidance to craft your very own fortified wine. To commemorate the day, you take home a 10L barrel coopered in the Barossa Valley from 10-year-old oak, seasoned for six months — so your fortified keeps ageing at home. A private induction covers how to maintain and care for it, backed by a handmade S&K branded dipstick, a barrel care guide, and complimentary yearly barrel sample testing.
