Barossa Valley Behind-the-Scenes Winery and Vineyard Experience at Kies
About This Experience
The Kies family landed in the German hamlet of Lyndoch in the 1860s and has grown grapes in the Barossa ever since. This experience flies you to their door. After a scenic flight over the old vines of some of the world's most famous wine producers and the stunning Barossa Ranges, a member of the Kies team shows you the estate's old Shiraz vines and their sustainable, minimal-intervention practices, then the state-of-the-art winemaking facility built in 2019 and the barrel hall β tasting two wines among the French and American oak used to mature their premium Barossa Valley Shiraz. All wines tasted are single-vineyard and estate-grown. Your wine guide picks one to pair with the Barossa Valley Produce Platter, first course of a lunch in the Kies Family Wines CafΓ© with 180-degree views of the ranges β then it's the award-winning cellar door for a final tasting before the flight home over the Barossa Goldfields and Whispering Wall. β’ 15 minutes in the helicopter β’ Guided tour of the Kies estate and old Shiraz vines β’ Winery and barrel hall tour with tastings β’ Lunch with a view of the Barossa Ranges β’ Cellar door tasting to finish Transfers to the helipad, drinks with lunch and take-home wine aren't included (wine can be shipped home direct).
