Wine Trails: Self-Guided Wine Tours with GPS Audio

What we send

When you book a Wine Trails self guided wine tour, we send two transactional text messages at most:

Booking confirmation: a link that opens your tour in the Wine Trails app, with your region already unlocked.
Tour day reminder: on the morning of your travel date, if you have not opened your tour yet.

No marketing, no promotions, no third party messages. Message frequency varies, up to 2 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in

Your mobile number is collected on the booking form when you purchase a Wine Trails tour. Most of our bookings are made on Viator, where the phone number is entered at checkout under Contact details (screenshot below). Viator's Privacy and Cookies Statement tells travellers that their personal information is passed to the experience supplier so the supplier can fulfil the booking. Wine Trails is that supplier, and we use the number only for the two booking messages described above.

Our tour listings carry this text message notice:

By providing your phone number you agree to receive text messages from Wine Trails about your booked tour: a confirmation with your tour link, and a reminder on the tour morning. Msg frequency varies, max 2 per booking. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Messages are sent only to customers with a confirmed booking, and only to the number given on that booking. Nobody is texted without a booking.
